sammy jo fleming

i was right (i love saying that), baby girl came early.

jack came early too and while i know that every pregnancy is different i had a strong feeling she would come early too.

on 04.29.11 around 8 pm i started timing my contractions. the doctor told me to come in if they were 5 minutes apart for an hour. since the hospital i was delivering at was 1.5 hours away i decided to time them for 2 hours...i didn't want to get there and have them tell me it was false labor. at 10 pm i went out to the garage to get farmer who was actually sanding the crib. i told him it was time to go. jack was on one and did not want me to have the baby that night. it was late and he was tired...of course he just wanted his momma. we finally left home at 11 pm.

so, after a l.o.n.g. night and an even l.o.n.g.e.r. morning baby girl arrived on 04.30.11 at 12:54 pm. she weighed 6 lbs 7 oz 7 and was 19 inches long.

the name: sammy jo - it was a last minuted thing. everyone knows we did not have a name for her. we had some that we were tossing around but nothing solid. farmer and i don't agree on much so we didn't even really talk about a name cause what's the point? i mean, he didn't like the ones i picked and i didn't like his. we decided we would wait and see what she looked like. when we started texting everyone to let them know she was here of course the next question was, "what's her name?!" she looked nothing like the names we had picked. nothing fit her. that's when farmer threw out "sammy." sammy was actually our name for if we had a boy. after he said it i looked at her and it fit. so, there ya go...sammy jo fleming.

farmers smile says it all don't you think?

already has daddy right where she wants him

our family of four

yeah, my eyes are barely open. cut me some slack i had been up for like 30 hours!

getting all dressed up to go home.

alright, if you know farmer then you will love this picture. he was always saying he doesn't do diapers and this and that. yeah, whatever. farmer jumped right in and took over. he was kind of a baby hog, actually.
